Take a deep breath at Mt Bromo and enjoy the nature in Meru Betiri National Park

Day 1: Malang – Mt Bromo – Kalibaru Plantation
We pick you up at your hotel at 01.30 o’clock in the morning. We leave for Mt Pananjakan, which is with it’s 2.770 m the highest view point in the surroundings. That will be a two hours drive. At Mt Pananjakan we drink some coffee or tea. At this view point we await the sun to rise. Hereafter we guide you to the sand sea that you will have to cross before you climb the stairs leading to the crater of Mt Bromo. It is possible to walk around the crater. After your return to the car it is around 09.00 am when we leave for a short drive to Cemaralawang. In Cemaralawang it is time for breakfast. After breakfast we continue to Kalibaru, leaving Jember aside. In Kalibaru we stay for the night in Kalibaru-cottages or Margo Utomo-cottages.
Day 2: Kalibaru Plantation – Sukamade (turtle beach) in Baluran National Park
After breakfast we visit Kalibaru Plantation to witness the processing of coffee, rubber and chocolate. You can also harvest coffee and chocolate if you like. Hereafter we go back to your hotel to prepare yourselves for a cozy four wheeled drive tour to Sukamade beach. On this trip we pass some wide-ranging plantations of East Java. To reach Sukamade we cross the tropical rainforest of the Meru Betiri National Park. The beach is a 3 kilometers long strip of sand on the Indian Ocean where 5 species of turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. Before dinner there is time left to for example walk around the kampong where people make brown sugar. After dinner a ranger will guide you to find and see sea turtles to come ashore to lay their eggs. Sea turtles usually come ashore around 07.30 pm and return to the sea at around 12.00 pm.
Day 3: Sukamade – Banyuwangi –Ketapang Harbor
After breakfast in Sukamade, we drive back the same way we arrived to go to Ketapang Harbor (Banyuwangi) where we have lunch in a local restaurant. In the meantime your guide makes arrangements for your ticket to Bali.
